If you use multiple browsers and want an idea on how to better manage bookmarks for and between each browser, give Transmute a shot!
If you are one who is dependent on multiple browsers for whatever reason, you might have come across the problem of managing your bookmarks (or “favorites” as Edge calls them).
Whether it comes down to exporting your bookmarks between browsers or otherwise, there is always going to be a nuisance for you to face in one form or the other.
Transmute is definitely an option for you to consider, but if you are truly dedicated towards putting your bookmark woes to an end, you can choose a premium plan to help you better.
As you can tell, the standard version is free but offers limited functionality and just the basic features.
With the help of Transmute you can easily manage bookmarks including syncing between browsers, automatic bookmark backups, elimination of dead links and duplicates in your bookmarks, and of course import/export bookmarks among browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Edge from within the app, saving you the trouble of ever having to do that hassle manually.
Though the user interface is definitely one that needs some getting used to and navigating, it is definitely worth it.
The app supports almost every popular browser that exists for using the internet, whether you are on Mac, Windows or Linux!
However, a drawback of the app is that it is only able to be installed on a Windows OS, so keep that in mind before you decide to spend money on the better paid solutions of this app.
The app does however help convert your browser’s proprietary bookmark extension into that of another browser, making it easier to carry over your bookmarks from one browser to the next.
Considering the range of features that the premium packages offer, I would say that it is a matter of personal preference if you feel the app to be worth your money.
If you happen to be an individual who is reliant on constantly having to backup bookmarks and migrate bookmarks between browsers, I would recommend you give this app a trial run and see if it fits the bill for your needs.
Running the basic version of the app allowed me to make manual backups of my current bookmarks for my browsers, but due to Cloud Sync, I normally don’t worry about Chrome or Firefox.
